Senior Dog Walks

Like all dogs, Senior Dogs love a walk and a sniff. They just like to do it at a more sedate pace (or not in some cases!!). Whistlers, offers Bespoke Senior Dog Walks which are tailored to their specific needs.

We can walk your dog on its own or with a group of like-minded Seniors. We tend to find that they like to go with their friends as it is company for them. We take between 2 and 4 on the group walks. This is to ensure all our senior dogs receive the attention they need and deserve to keep them happy and safe in our care.

The dogs are walked in the beautiful surrounding countryside and woodlands. They are mostly off lead so they can sniff every blade of grass in the woods if they want to. As always, we do require permission to walk your dog off lead.

Frequently asked questions

Do Senior Dogs need to be exercised?

In a word YES.  They tend to be happier and healthier if they have regular exercise to suit their age and ability.

Will they have long walks?

It totally depends on their fitness and ability.  They may want to walk for a short period and have a longer time sniffing and reading the news!! Followed by another short walk.  We try to be as flexible as possible with them, the decide what they want.
